Suzhou’s second computer-based IELTS test centre opens at XJTLU

March 02, 2022

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University recently became a testing centre for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). IELTS is the standard worldwide English language proficiency test for higher education.

The centre is Suzhou’s second IELTS test centre, and the first exams took place on 22 January 2022.

The XJTLU IELTS test centre can provide two computer-based test services: IELTS and IELTS for United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI). There will be at least six test sessions per week, and 130 computer-based tests are planned for the first half of 2022 alone.

The examination environment and equipment maintain the high standards of computer-delivered IELTS test centres. The establishment of the new centre at XJTLU will enable candidates from both XJTLU and the local area to fulfil the requirements for IELTS registration conveniently.

The welcome area: the examination admission procedure is straightforward

The waiting area: a spacious and comfortable room for the candidates to wait in

The computer-delivered test rooms: each testing area is equipped with professional-grade computer equipment, silent keyboards, noise-cancelling headphones and ergonomic seats

The speaking test venue: the speaking test will be conducted in a separate room equipped with professional computer equipment, comfortable seats and noise-cancelling headphones
