The two institutions also entered into a strategic cooperation agreement to foster the integration of industry, academia, and governance within the realm of regulatory science.

“The partnership between these institutions will help integrate the academic prowess of universities with the industrial strengths in the biopharmaceutical sector possessed by Suzhou and Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP),” said Miao Chen, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the SIP Lake Science and Education Innovation Zone. “This collaboration is poised to bolster the industry’s high-quality, efficient, and sustainable development.”

In addition, the Academy is gearing up to launch a research-oriented master’s degree programme in pharmaceutical regulatory science in September 2024.

The conference also witnessed the establishment of the Compliance Alliance of Biopharmaceutical Enterprises in SIP, which promises to work with government and academic institutions to enhance enterprise compliance capabilities, encourage initiatives that nurture top talents, conduct research, and seek valuable expert advice to help shape policies.

“While advancing the industry, we recognise the crucial role of orderly development and compliant operation for the industry’s healthy growth,” said Jianguo Yin, Chairman of SIP Bioindustry Development Co.
