Global Business School Network (GBSN)

The Global Business School Network is a non-profit organization that partners with business schools, industry, foundations and aid agencies to improve access to quality, locally relevant management education for the developing world.

Within the context of the emerging economies mission, GBSN builds activities, programs and projects that enable the creation of new knowledge, provide meaningful international experiences, and build relationships that can transform management education, as well as provide broad visibility to our member schools as a champion and change maker for economic and social development.

DHL GoTrade GBSN Fellowship Program – GBSN: At the heart of this programme is the aim to provide access to global markets, experiential learning and world class logistics management. The highly-selective 12 month Fellowship Program pairs postgraduate business students at Masters & PhD level with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the developing world. The premise is a simple one: SMEs benefit from the input of your academic knowledge, while you benefit from the hands-on exposure to trading in emerging markets contexts.

Objectives:

  • The Fellowship Program teaches SMEs and Fellows about the value of cross-border trade and gives SMEs the tools to access the global marketplace. Helping SMEs in the world’s developing and least developed countries access global markets is a proven way to connect people and improve lives.
  • Creating meaningful experiential learning opportunities for top performing business students who will learn through collaboration with the SMEs how to operate in often ill-defined markets, with scarce resources, in less structured environments.
