Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is paving the way for better collaborations between businesses and schools with the establishment of the Digital Talent Development Association, in cooperation with Seentao Technology.

Announced last month, the Association will see XJTLU work with Seentao Technology to improve digital talent development by exploring new evaluation standards and education models to meet the demands of digital industries. The Association is based on a cooperation framework agreement, which aims to integrate digital industries with education institutions.

Speaking at the Seentao Education Annual Conference on Digital Talent Development and Innovation, Professor Youmin Xi, executive president of XJTLU, noted that with the rapid development and mass application of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, people’s learning styles will also be transformed.

“Digitalisation and big data will restructure the field of education,” Professor Xi (pictured below) said.

“As new education models take shape, digital literacy will become an essential part in fostering future talent.”

As an important subsidiary of Yonyou Group, Seentao Technology develops integrated educational service systems. By cooperating with universities, they establish industrial colleges, where education is closely connected with digital industries.

Through the new Association, XJTLU will work with Seentao Technology on a number of pilot projects to establish an interactive platform capable of developing and evaluating digital talent development.
