Following a highly successful Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Peer Review Visit in May of this year, XJTLU International Business School Suzhou is proud to announce the AACSB International Board of Director’s decision to extend the school’s accreditation a further 5 years. Considered worldwide to be a gold standard in accreditation, AACSB assesses the quality of a business school and its commitment to continuous improvement at all levels. Chaired by Clayton State University Business School Dean Jacob Chacko, and consisting of Brock University Business School Dean Andrew Gaudes and Sun Yat-sen Lingnan University College Dean Jun Lu, the AACSB Peer Review Team commended IBSS for the incredible growth the business school has seen over the past 5 years. They highlighted IBSS’s efforts in Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability as particularly impressive, as well as the value the school brings to its local business community through initiatives such as the Suzhou Executive Academy, In-Company Consultancy Projects and student career and soft skills events. Furthermore, the team congratulated the school on the quality of its faculty,professional staff and students.
In response to the AACSB Board’s IBSS Dean Professor Jorg Bley noted that, “This reaccreditation is a
testament to the hard work IBSS faculty and professional staff have put in towards building a world-renowned business school here in Suzhou. I am deeply honored to work with such a committed and talented group of individuals, and am looking forward to where the next 5 years will take us.”
IBSS became the youngest business school in the world to become AACSB accredited in 2016, making history once again as the youngest school to gain double-accredited status in 2018 with EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) accreditation. The final jewel in IBSS’s “Triple Crown” was achieved in 2020 with AMBA (Association of MBAs) accreditation, with IBSS the 102nd school to enter this exclusive group of top business schools, in addition to becoming the youngest Triple Crown school globally. IBSS is also BGA (Business Graduates Association) accredited (2020) and BSIS (Business School Impact System) Labeled (2020).
