Lecturer Introduction

Youning Li

Director, screenwriter, and producer
Youning Li has been engaged in film creation and teaching for over 30 years. Formerly served as the Chairman of the 58th Asia Pacific Film Festival in 2018, Chairman of the 14th and 15th Chinese Film Production Association, and won the Outstanding Film Contribution Award at the 2019 Los Angeles Asian Film Festival in the United States.
A total of 12 drama films were directed and 23 were produced, including representative works such as “Old Mao’s Second Spring”, ” The Two of Us “, ” The Killer’s Elegy”, “Spring outside the Fence”, ” Lao Ke De Zui Hou Yi Ge Qiu Tian”, ” Formosa Sisters”, etc. His works mostly revolve around the humanistic care of veterans, and are hailed as the helmsman of social realism and humanistic care in Taiwan’s new film movement.

Bing Li

Screenwriter and Director
Graduated from the American Film Institute (AFI) with a major in screenwriting, engaged in the production of feature films and documentaries.
The representative work of the screenplay “American Girl” won the “Best Asian Mandarin Film” award at the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards, the “Best Feature Film” award at the 24th Taipei Film Festival, the “Best Screenplay” nomination at the 58th Golden Horse Awards, and the “Best Film in the Asian Future Unit” nomination at the 34th Tokyo International Film Festival. Other scripts have been selected multiple times in well-known screenplay competitions, such as the quarterfinals of the Final Draft in the United States, the semi-finals of the Variety Voices, the top 4% of BBC Drama in the UK, and the Outstanding Screenplay Award in Taiwan in 2020. His works focus on the diversity of human life, especially in narrating stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Morgan Peline

Photographer
Graduated from the National Academy of Motion Picture and Television (NFTS) with a degree in photography, studied under Brian Tufano BSC (the British Academy of Motion Picture award-winning film “Billy Elliot”), Billy Williams BSC (the Oscar winning film “Gandhi”), Vilmos Zsigmond ASC (the Oscar winning film ” Close Encounters of the Third Kind “), and Elem é r Rag á lyi HSC (the Emmy winning film “Rasputin”), and has extensive experience in film, television, and advertising production.
For many years, he has also been active in well-known universities, teaching photography in film and television arts majors such as the Film School of Hong Kong Baptist University, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, and the Lesser Arts Institute of Singapore. In 2022, he also served as a resident artist for film design and immersive photography at the Film and Television School of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

Dane Taylor

Recording and mixing engineer
Graduated from the Berkeley School of Music in Boston, USA, he is an experienced music producer, recording engineer, and mixing engineer. He is an internationally certified Avid ProTools lecturer and is active in the music and film industries. His involvement in song, advertising, and film projects has won numerous awards worldwide.

Yibin Yu

Recording and mixing engineer
Yibin Yu graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Recording Art from Beijing Film Academy and a graduate degree in Film Production from Daejeon University in South Korea. Engaged in directing, producing, composing, recording, and other work. The film works he participated in include “A Good Rain Knows ” (South Korea), “Return Ticket” (Best Original Screenplay at the 48th Taiwan Golden Horse Awards), “The Gardener” (Iran), “Wind Blast”, “Crimes of Passion”, freeze frame film (UK), “Unknown” (Japan), etc; The game works he participated in include Final Fantasy, Jurassic World, Call of Duty, Ring Fit Adventure, Age of Empires, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Don’t Starve; He has participated in the production of up to a hundred advertising works.

Cheng Fang

Editor
Graduated from the University of Southern California in the United States with a major in film and television production, working as an editor and screenwriter, and certified as an Avid Media Composer international lecturer. His representative documentary series, “A Long Cherished Dream” (directed by Malcolm Clarke, a director who won two Oscars for Best Documentary), won the “Best Series Documentary” award at the 28th Shanghai TV Festival Magnolia Awards, the “Excellent International Communication Chinese Documentary” award at the 19th China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival, and the “Five One Project” award for spiritual civilization construction at the 16th.

Qian Zhuang

Editor and Producer
Graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in film production, working as a director, editor, and producer, actively involved in the television and film industries. As a documentary feature film participated in by the later creators, she has won awards and nominations at many international film festivals, including the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival (CPH: DOC), the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival (IDFA) in the Netherlands, and the Shanghai International Film Festival.

Biwei Cong

photographer and director
Graduated from Emerson College in the United States with a major in Film and Media Arts. As a screenwriter and director, her short films have won the Foreign Friendship Association Award at the 6th China South Korea Dream Enjoyment Microfilm Exhibition, the Second Prize at the 8th International College Student Microfilm Festival, been nominated for the 45th Boston Science Fiction Film Festival, the 4th Silk Road International Film Festival, the 2019 Canada Shorts, the 15th China US Film Festival, and the Student Unit at the 10th China International New Media Short Film Festival.

Yao Ge

Producer and Director
Graduated from the University of Southern California, majoring in Film and Television Production (USC), engaged in feature film script development and international documentary production. Selected as a young talented director for the SIFF NEXT project at the Shanghai International Film Festival in 2021. As a screenwriter and director, her works have been exhibited at international festivals such as Hainan International Film Festival, Canada International Short Film Festival, and Rhode Island International Film Festival.

Yiran Yu

photographer and colorist
Yiran Yu hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Television Photography from the Department of Television at Communication University of China, a Master of Arts degree in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California in the United States, and an internationally certified Senior Color and Editing Supervisor at DaVinci Resolve. With his representative short film work “I Am a Television Department”, he was selected as one of the ten new directors in the Banana New Director Digging Plan.
