The research clusters are designed to foster a sense of belonging and a shared identity among colleagues with similar research interests. They work to cultivate a research community by bringing together established and early-career scholars, including doctoral and other students. Research clusters use their shared identity to connect with similar clusters, groups, or institutions elsewhere, promoting cooperation with other academics or government, business, or social institutions with aligned interests.
The clusters also highlight broad areas of interest of their members, helping those seeking support to identify potential collaborators, consultants, and supervisors.
