Profile

Dr. Jieming Ma is a lecturer at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. He received his MSc degree in advanced microelectronic systems engineering from the University of Bristol, UK, in 2010, and received his PhD degree in computer science from the University of Liverpool, UK, in 2014. He worked as a lecturer at Suzhou University of Science and Technology, China, from 2015 to 2017. He is also an Honorary Recognised Researcher at University of Liverpool from April 2017. Dr. Ma was enlisted in “2016 Jiangsu PhD Holder Plan – Oversea Prestigious University Innovation (江苏省双创博士)" and "Young-aged Cadre Teacher of Jiangsu Province Qinglan talent program 2019 (江苏省青蓝工程优秀青年骨干教师)". He has successfully led and completed many research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province (NSFJS), and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD). He has authored 10+ peer-reviewed articles in prestigious international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I, IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, Solar Energy, etc. His research interests include intelligent optimization, machine learning and applications in renewable energy systems.
