When a one-dimensional interacting particle system is in a state with two constant configurations of different types at two ends, the interval of mixed types in between is called its interface. In this talk, we will introduce a biased voter model, where there is a bias towards one of the two types in contrast to the classic unbiased voter model. We will show that under suitable assumptions, the biased voter model exhibits interface tightness, and moreover, the rescaled interface boundary converges to a Brownian motion. This is a joint work with Rongfeng Sun and Jan M. Swart.

Jinjiong Yu is an Assistant Professor at East China Normal University. Before joining ECNU, he was a Postdoc at NYU Shanghai from 2017 to 2020. He received his PhD from National University of Singapore in 2017. His research mainly focuses on probability theory, interacting particle systems, and statistical mechanical models.
