Profile
Dr Lifeng Ding is working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry. He joined XJTLU since 2013. Prior to this position, He worked as a European Union Marie-Curie research fellow at the University of Surrey under the supervision of Professor Ozgur Yazaydin. He completed his PhD studies at the University of Leicester.Lifeng’s research interest is mainly focused on studying and designing novel materials through molecular modelling methods. His objective is to gain molecular level understandings of intriguing existing and hypothetical materials, and subsequently provide solutions in rational design of novel materials for different applications, including , energy storage, carbon capture, gas/liquid separation, isotope separation and biodegradable polymers, etc. He has published over 40 journal papers, including Science, Chemistry of Materials, Biomaterials and JPCC etc.
