ProfileMr. Jian (Aaron) Chen currently serves as the Head of New Professional Education (NPE) Division within ILEAD and an Assistant Professor at Academy of Future Education. Aaron is a part-time Ed. D student of Educational Leadership and Management program at East China Normal University (ECNU). His research interests and management practice include International Comparisons in Higher Vocational Education, Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education, Industry-Education Integration (IEI) and teacher professional development in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and educational leadership and management.
Before joining Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), Aaron worked as the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Suzhou Centennial College (SCC) overseeing the college's overall international affairs and Chinese-Canadian cooperative programs. Apart from receiving awards from the Provincial Foreign Language Teaching Competition, the Municipal Teaching Achievement & Education Effectiveness Selection, and Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Outstanding Educator Award, he has also led many educational reform projects of TVET at provincial, municipal and college levels respectively. In addition, Aaron also worked as the Assistant Director and Mandarin Lecturer of Confucius Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, in the U.S.A. for two years, the overseas work experience of which makes him a practice-based global educator.
By offering social services to Commission on Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Education, China Education Association for International Exchange (CCCE-CEAIE) as the Deputy Secretary-General and the Chinese-foreign Joint College Committee of TVET (CJCC-TVET) as the Executive Vice Chairman, Aaron has demonstrated an extraordinary passion, excellent communication skills and effective leadership skills for educational management.
