ProfileXuefeng Wang is currently an associate professor in planning in the Department of Urban Planning and Design at Xi’an Jiaotong – Liverpool University, Suzhou. Before moving to Suzhou, he had worked as a planning professional in China and the UK for many years. He moved back to academia in 2007 and has since been involved in teaching and research in planning and human geography. His research interests focus on urban and regional development, concerning the spatial patterns of urbanisation and their relations to the growth mode of economies, including questions of spatial planning and the concepts and theory of governance of urbanisation and regional development.
