SUPPORT EDUCATORS IN LIFELONG LEARNING
Based on XJTLU’s excellent ideas and practices in higher education reform, the Institute of Leadership and Education Advanced Development at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University has launched a series of training programmes for educators. By comprehensively and systematically sorting out the challenges of future education and teaching with the participants, the XJTLU ILEAD Education Practitioner Training aims to promote student-centred higher education, basic education, and vocational education.
Through these training programmes, ILEAD hopes to explore a new educational model to help educational reform and innovators change their education mindsets, and to promote education and teaching reform to improve students’ knowledge, ability and literacy.

XJTLU ILEAD is committed to building an influential lifelong learning and communication platform rooted in the practice of XJTLU, focusing on higher education reform and innovation, and bringing together outstanding practitioners.
XJTLU NATIONAL UNIVERSITY TEACHING INNOVATION AWARD
XJTLU National University Teaching Innovation Award is sponsored by Xi’an Jiaotong University, organised by the Institute of Leadership and Education Advanced Development (ILEAD), and supported by Macao Tong Chai Charity Association. It aims to discover and award a group of teachers in higher education institutions with the student-centred teaching philosophy, spreading the innovative actions in student-centred teaching reform.
Thus, a platform can be built focusing on sharing, communication, learning, growth, and joint creation of the future. The platform is aimed at teachers who are dedicated to teaching innovation, with the goal of promoting education reform in Chinese higher education.
THE ASSOCIATION OF SUSTAINABLE TEACHER DEVELOPMENT IN UNIVERSITIES
The Association of Sustainable Teacher Development in Universities was initiated by ILEAD, and is formed and governed by the voluntary participation of teacher development centres or related departments across China. The main aim is to carry out training, forums, competitions, assessments, and consulting programmes related to teacher development.
It is a civil academic community with the fundamental goal of helping members of the alliance to gradually realise their own sustainable development, carry out systematic teacher development activities on their own, and ultimately to promote students’ learning and healthy growth.
At present, 86 universities have joined the alliance, covering 985/211, double first-class provincial institutions, private universities, and other institutions of higher education.

ILEAD TALK is a city-based community of educational innovators, guided by ILEAD and run by local conveners and teams in more than twenty cities in China. The aim is to provide a platform for dialogue and mutual learning among university practitioners interested in educational innovation through city-based community building.
