Enjun Liu

My research interests focus on strategic network formation games with unreliable players and network conflict games, particularly examining how uncertainty influences equilibrium structures and strategic interactions within networks. At IBSS, I have enhanced my teaching and communication skills by serving as a Teaching Assistant for courses including International Labour Market and Econometrics, helping students apply economic theory and empirical methods effectively in practical contexts.

My research focuses on intellectual property rights, particularly geographical indications (GIs) in China. At IBSS, I have deepened my work through empirical analysis and interdisciplinary collaboration. I have also taught undergraduate economics courses, gaining valuable experience in curriculum development and student engagement.

My research focuses on the economic impacts of climate change and environmental issues. Currently, I am investigating how climate-related factors influence corporate innovation. As my research progresses, I am increasingly interested in exploring their dynamic effects, particularly in the context of policy adaptation and long-term sustainability.

Her current research projects focus on tourism eco-efficiency, the development of tourism performance indices, tourism policy analysis, and tourism geography. She is particularly interested in evaluating the sustainability of tourism development, assessing policy effectiveness, and exploring spatial patterns and regional disparities in tourism activities.

My Master’s degree was also completed at IBSS, where I had an exceptionally positive and enriching academic experience. The faculty were consistently dedicated and supportive. I also served as a Teaching Assistant during my master period, which was a highly rewarding experience. My current research interest is focused on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). I am keen to contribute meaningfully to this vital field by conducting rigorous and impactful research.

Xuyan Gao is a PhD candidate in Economics at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Her research interests primarily include environmental economics and urban economics. Her current project focuses on how flooding risk influences firm-level economic outcomes. She possesses advanced proficiency in GIS data processing and analysis, with expertise in handling single or multiple geographic layers for data overlay, processing, and extraction. She also applies spatial statistical methods and geospatial techniques to investigate complex environmental and socioeconomic interactions.

Yuwei is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics, following his prior academic engagement as a business lecturer. He explores innovations at the intersection of machine learning and econometrics. His research aims to uncover insights from global value chains and data economy, through application of LLMs, causal inference, and counterfactual analysis.
