Accommodation
The University does not provide accommodation for programme participants. If you want to know about off-campus accommodation options, please get in touch with your admission adviser.
Entry requirements
1. One copy of an official government-issued ID card.
2. Proof of enrollment or unofficial transcripts from the university. Non-Chinese or English certificates or documents must be translated and notarized.
3. TOEFL (85 or above) / IELTS (6.5 or above) or other materials that can prove English proficiency. Applicants or students from universities where English is the native language or English is taught are exempt from this requirement.
*If necessary, the programme may require applicants to submit additional information.
How to apply
- Contact the admission advisor (iss@xjtlu.edu.cn).
- Obtain the teaching syllabus of the interested courses and submit an overseas study application to the place where your student status is located.
- After the overseas study application is approved by the university or institution where you are located, forward it to iss@xjtlu.edu.cn.
- Fill in the project registration form sent by Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

Overview
XJTLU International Summer Programme provides students with a unique opportunity to explore knowledge and expand culture through its high-quality platform. The programme offers academically rigorous short courses to domestic and international students from all over the world during the summer and winter vacations. Upon completion of the programme, students will gain valuable knowledge and corresponding course credits, which can be applied to academic degrees and are beneficial for long-term career development. The programme courses cover a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to social sciences, natural sciences, humanities, mathematics, business, economics, etc.

Admission requirements
Applicants for this project need to show a professional level of English. If the student is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme at any university or higher education institution and wishes to transfer credits back to the institution where the record is kept, the student must obtain pre-approval from their institution before applying for the course.
Credit calculation
Successful completion of a course is recorded as 4 credits.
The credits of a course are calculated as follows:
Students need to have classes for 2 hours and 30 minutes per day, five days a week, for four weeks. The total teaching time of each course in summer programme is 50 hours (3000 minutes).
