Programme Overview
The XJTLU International Summer Programme provides students with a unique opportunity to enhance their knowledge and expand cultural awareness through its high-quality academic platform. The programme offers academically rigorous short courses to domestic and international students during summer and winter vacation.
Upon completion of the programme, students will obtain valuable knowledge and corresponding course credits, which can be applied to academic degrees and are beneficial for long-term career development. The amount of course credits earned during the programme can be deducted from the total credits required for graduation from American universities, reducing the time students need to earn their degree.
The programme courses cover a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to social sciences, natural sciences, humanities, mathematics, business, economics, and more.
Who should apply
The programme is suitable for a diverse range of students, including students currently enrolled in universities abroad, students currently enrolled in international high school programmes, as well as students enrolled in Chinese high schools and universities but wish to experience international level university courses.
Schedule
Our programme will be offered during the following academic semesters:
Faculty
Our team of faculty include highly skilled professors with full-time teaching positions at XJTLU as well as full-time faculty professors from American universities.
Course Delivery Language
All courses will be taught in English.
Admission Requirements
Applicants for this programme need to demonstrate a professional level of English. If the student is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme at any university or higher education institution and wishes to transfer credits back to the institution where their record is kept, the student must obtain pre-approval from their institution before applying for the course.
Credit Calculation
Students who successfully complete a course will earn a total of 4 credits per course.
The completion of a course is calculated as follows:
Students need to attend classes for at least 2 hours and 30 minutes per day, five days per week, for four weeks. The total teaching time of each course in the programme is 50 hours (equal to 3,000 minutes).
Programme Completion
After successfully completing the programme, students will receive a XJTLU Learning Mall transcript, an official transcript from an American university, American university course credits, and a recommendation letter from a current American university professor.
