In order to graduate, civil engineering students must fulfil at least 90 hours of placement work, usually during the summer of Year Three. The placement can either be arranged by the student themselves or be allocated to students through the Department upon their agreement.
Each year, the Department works to secure enough placement opportunities with companies who have cooperation with us. Since 2014, positions were secured for students at companies such as Architects and Engineers Co., Ltd. of Southeast University, ARTS Group Co., Ltd (ARTS), Arup Group Limited (ARUP), CCDI group (CCDI), Shanghai Construction Group (SCG); Suzhou Institute of Architectural Design Co., Ltd. (SIAD); Zhong Yi Feng Construction Group Co., Ltd; Shanghai (Group) Corporation for Foreign Economic and Technological Cooperation (China SFECO Group), and Shanghai SIP Engineering Consulting Ltd. (SIP).
