Established in 2006, Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University has been heralded as the benchmark for Sino-foreign partnership in education, as well as the vanguard for educational reform in China. XJTLU integrates global resources and best educational practices from the East and the West, adopting unique educational philosophies and high standards in cultivating elite talents. It endeavours to explore and create an innovative model for higher education through three stages of development: XJTLU 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0.
XJTLU 1.0 Relying on its international academic environment, unique education philosophies, and research-oriented learning and teaching, the University formed a high-standard, global model for cultivating elite professional talent and built a multi-disciplinary cluster covering science, engineering, management, literature, and art.
XJTLU 2.0 Featuring industry integration, the University explored and continues to create a “syntegrative education model” for cultivating future industry elites and leaders, and promotes the “society-university-industry” symbiosis.
XJTLU 3.0 The University will integrate deeper into society, acting as both adhesive and catalyst for leveraging all available resources and creating an IER ecosystem that integrates multivariate and multilevel education systems for the digital age, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship into a new university format.
Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI)
Established in December 2013 as the “test field” scientific and technological reform in Jiangsu Province, JITRI has always attached utmost importance to innovation, continuing to explore and implement a series of new research-oriented mechanisms and measures such as joint education, project management, contract-based research, and institute-enterprise cooperation.
As a result, it has attracted a large number of high-level talents and produced numerous prominent scientific and technological achievements. JITRI oversees 58 high-level specialised research institutes, has incubated over 760 enterprises, and serves the needs of over 10,000 enterprises. Additionally, JITRI has set up joint innovation centres with more than 130 leading organisations.
