Advanced Robotics Laboratory
Brief Introduction
Advanced Robotics Laboratory (A-3005) was established in September 2024 alongside the launch of the Postgraduate Programme – MSc Advanced Robotics Systems. As an integral part of the School of Intelligent Robotics, the laboratory primarily supports postgraduate teaching, research and university-industry collaboration projects, and is equipped with advanced facilities including mobile robots, mobile workstations and welding stations, delivering postgraduate modules such as RBE401TC Contemporary Mechatronics in Intelligent Robotics, RBE403TC Intelligent Robotics and Applications, RBE404TC Application of Cutting Edge Technologies in Robotics Design, RBE407TC Advanced Robotics Algorithm Design, and RBE410TC Control and Sensor Technologies Applications. The laboratory’s primary aim is to help students develop the skills needed to address complex challenges in China’s robotics industry through hands-on teaching and industrial immersive experiences, nurture industry-recognised competencies, support innovative research and the growth of emerging start-ups, provide a cutting-edge development and testing platform for students and researchers, and cultivate future leaders who advance the frontiers of robotics and automation.
