International Conference on Asia and Pacific Economies

International Conference on Asia and Pacific Economies

This annual event delves into topics concerning the Asia Pacific region, with a particular focus on the Chinese economy. It forms part of the International Business School Suzhou’s (IBSS) initiatives to foster research in these areas and to establish a network of researchers within the region. This is the flagship event organized under the Society for the Advancement in Economic Studies (SAES) which promotes the interdisciplinary research across the academics, business communities and policy makers.

The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) is the host partner for this event, which takes place at the XJTLU campus in Suzhou, typically in May. Some funding is available to support travel for researchers within the region. The round-table seminar provides a platform for researchers, where active participation in presentations is encouraged and participants are expected to offer their obligatory comments.
